My story began back in 2011 after 10 years in the fitness industry. After some time spent in sales, managing various gyms, and personal training it was time to venture out and start my own personalized, online weight loss business.

I created WAHINE TOA, a 10 week weight loss programme. As a part of the weight loss programme package, I also included leggings for the customers who signed up. At the time of our launch we were lucky enough to be highlighted on a national news channel, Te Kaea News. The inquires for the leggings were endless so I realized there was a place in the market for a contemporary Maori infused clothing brand, Toa Apparel was born. 

Toa Apparel quickly expanded to include a large women's range and also a men's range so everybody could now feel apart of our brand.

This unique brand has given me a creative outlet and a massive sense of gratitude to see our brand worn globally!
